Clothing Experimentation Ideas
I feel although the popper trousers are very fashionable at the moment, they may quickly fade out of fashion as quickly as they came back, they're also more expensive than joggers and I need to consider the cost factor incase sale targets are not made.
I feel the tracksuit bottoms maybe the perfect option (far left) as they're an alternative to plain comfortable clothes which I will often wear out to uni or even house parties/ gatherings as this is more acceptable if you're just going to someone's house and as the Lazy Gear logo is printed down the side it livens up a comfy option, maintaining a current fashionable style, similar to the repeated Kappa logo they have on their joggers.
This cotton material will also be far easier to screen print onto, I have to conside however wether this will go over a seam running down the leg and if there's pockets obstructing this, do I then print the line of imagery slightly off center of the side leg having the images printed just in front of the line, which would also make them more visible face on?
Unsure about which pair of trousers which people would be more likely to buy I asked for feedback from my peers:
The majority thought the cargo pants would be more appropriate as they're
'unique'
'in fashion'
'durable'
'versatile'
I also considered the fact that tracksuit bottoms if worn out could be an issue as many clubs wouldn't allow people to wear tracksuits in the club. Based on this feedback I've decided to buy a pair of each, and print on both the joggers and the cargo pants and review after the outcome, I could possibly do smaller quantities of both as opposed to just one trouser in order to extend the range further.
