Lazy Gear: Look-book research

Lookbook

As well as having a physical printed look-book I really like the idea of having a video look-book, Kat says she wants to explore film more so this could potentially be ideal for both of us. I really like the minimalist aesthetic of the Stone Island collection look-book however ours may be more hectic if it's shot in a party environment, but I's like to maintain the close up detailed shots of elements of the clothing.

Kat (fashion photographer collaborator) said she really liked the slow motion element so I'd like to play around with this especially zooming in on details of the clothing like the long sleeved tops logotype down the sleeve.

Looking into more streetwear look-books, the use of colour backgrounds seems essential to many look-books and strengthens the visual outcome, while maintaining a minimal aesthetic it enhances focus on the clothing.

I also really appreciate the more collaged hand rendered elements featured in this Ukrainian look-book for TAKY x TRÜFFLE (photographed by Vova Klever) a streetwear brand designed for what I also aim for:

 'comfort mobility and durability'.

Further gaining inspiration from the above campaign look-book, I'd want to also incorporate collages hand rendered elements, when I used to properly sell my old Lazy Gear tops I would always include a hand inked personalised letter, as well as a hand cut and inked business card.
That way every letter/ business card would be unique, it came across hopefully that I cared about my brand, it's always been a personal thing to me, especially the meaning behind the logo being derived from a project I did years ago on transsexuality.

The individual hand inked aspect of each letter/ card accentuates this personal touch and emphasis on individuality, despite the clothing line being black and white and unisex, this is purposeful so it's inclusive of all people, anyone can wear Lazy Gear. Open-mindedness is the key theme and whole reasoning behind the face with an exposed brain, printed and drawn onto everything.
