Exhibition Venue & Planning

Smoking area & front entrance to the Lending Room, part of the Library Pub

Lending Room

When choosing the exhibition space I had to consider money as the main factor, the university had agreed to support me and pay for all the prints but I didn't expect them to fund the venue as well; I needed effectively to find somewhere for free!

I had heard (very sadly) that a friend of mine's friend passed away and that they had a memorial service in the Lending Room, a gig venue above the Library pub. They recommended this space and said it was free for memorial type events. I called them up and luckily they had one day left in November, the 25th.

I looked around the space and it was perfect, they already had a projector, ceiling draped with fairy lights, and sound system. The location is definitely ideal, a few minutes walk from university, near Hyde Park where the majority of students/ my friends live. I booked it for the 25th, agreed with them it was free, they would have the bar open in their and down in the pub as usual.
