Planning Exhibition Set Up

I originally ran round trying to find boards I could mount the photographs onto that would be freestanding in the venue, however after speaking to a lot of people who "had no idea where they were" the photography tutors helped me out. They recommended not to use boards as they have to be screwed into place usually fixed onto a wall, which would obviously not be possible in the gig venue, especially as they have long black curtains covering all the walls.

This further became an issue as I rang up the Lending Room and asked wether I could attach anything to the walls or hang things from the curtains but they said this wouldn't be possible. Going back to square one I had to think of a way to have all the images freestanding. Having then asked the student union originally for exhibition boards, they then came back to me via email explaining I could borrow easels from the university. This seemed to solve all my problems as I could transport them in and out folding them down as I do so, which would be far more practical than moving free standing boards/ walls around!
