Crit Feedback: Brief 2

I spoke about my concept of interior design for a physical chat room but voiced my recent thoughts about not actually wanting to design a space, I want to go for a more graphic based outcome as I feel I've explored spacial design recently through PPP and want to focus on a more graphic outcome. I want to focus on my original concept of reviving the aesthetic of mental health, updating the look and giving it a more accessible current feel.

This will then also tie in with COP where I'm designing an app that will facilitate an instant messenger programme for therapy aimed at students. This overarching theme of mental health aesthetic I've been focusing on through a range of projects has aided me to narrow down what kind of things I'd like to eventually design throughout my career, my tutor Orlando said this was positive and encouraged me to do something similar for this project, this was originally a concern as I didn't want things to overlap too much but he clarified this is not a negative, in can in fact play to my strengths.

Other feedback included:

Researching spacial design, how an updated student welfare room would look
Experiment with way-finding systems
Challenge mental health aesthetic is important, visuals of brains filled with stressful words create more stress!

I plan now to go down the root of way-finding, I want to create this using a poster series and some form of direction system aiding students to find the 'Chat Room'. I'd rather not go into spacial design as that would involve extending the welfare budget, whilst Chat Room is run by volunteers and is set up due to the welfare cuts. I need to ensure I'm budgeting throughout this brief.
