Bumble Bus Advert



Looking at existing Bumble Bus Ads was insightful and similar I thought to my poster designs in the fact the honey comb print was used as a repeated pattern. I wanted to continue this use of honeycomb pattern as the brief specifies I should have consistent recognisable designs. 

I further wanted to incorporate the other three platforms in the design, without giving too much away so people are intrigued to follow them on social media, as per the brief the Apple Store and Google Play logos are also incorporated. 

I used the swatch colours; from the dark grey text to the three Bumble platform colours so I could maintain consistent design.

Focusing on their tag line "MAKE EMPOWERED CONNECTIONS" I started playing around with how I could visually emphasise this without giving too much away. Still utilising the fluid honeycomb design I found overlapping was the most effective way, not only did it give the shapes a 3-D feel which I felt fitted quite well with the concept of emotional depth you have in a relationship, but also the geometric elements feels digital, expressing the technological aid to connectivity.


I love how the logo fits perfectly in with the pattern, another means of expressing connectivity and fluidity.
