Lazy Gear: Cargo Trouser Design Updated

Original design for the front:
Design For the Back:

I decided to alter the front cargo print design after I got feedback from my peers, they seemed to love the second one, yet again some preferred the first so it was a mixed bag of favourites but I felt it would look better aesthetically if there was more going on on the front. I asked wether the purposeful inconsistency of the design especially in the front design ruined the look however most people said it looked stronger, one classmate noting it was 'very Basquiat style'.

I did however try it out as a most fluid theme just by changing some of the hand written typography to the same style font I'd used on the back:

Here we have the altered typography mirrored on the front:

I feel this gives it more of an authoritative feel, instructions to open your mind with a more powerful typography may be more impactful in this bold upper case as opposed to the light hearted lower case hand writing it was before. Assessing the design after I am actually happier with a slight upgrade in consistency, giving certain other words like Passiflora a heading title, which in term seems to make more sense as the other type is relevant to each heading and appears more like a text less like ramblings, like a paper on 'open-mindedness'.

I'll have to reprint my negatives as I'd already printed these out in the digital print suite in A1 which is frustrating, time consuming and costly however I didn't feel the design was quite right, now I feel a lot more confident with the fluidity of designs and glad I changed it last minute before I begin the screen printing process. I also ordered more cargo trousers, a bundle of T-Shirts for Amin's designs to be printed on and some more tracksuit bottoms. I've invested a fair amount of money into this project but I'm confident if a little nervous, that I will make the money back and profit from this, obviously not the main point by any means but it's exciting to think that this could develop my brand and get the name out there, these designs in particular will produce the most dynamic Lazy Gear clothes which I'm really looking forward to producing.
